w the new boom in returning homestuck fans bcs of 4/13 / epilogue, it is PRIME time to start bothering people into playing friendsim again
Okay ill start.
In case you don’t know what friendsim (short for hiveswap friendsim/hiveswap friendship simulator) is, its a homestuck/hiveswap spin off on steam, that revolves around you, the protag, making friends with the trolls from troll call, after having crash landed on alternia. It is in a faux dating sim style. You can find the steam page here.

There are 18 volumes, 99 cents each, amd each volume comes with two characters. (Exceptions in the case of volume 6 and volume 18, with 3 characters). If you don’t want to pay for it you can find a playlist with a no commentary playthrough for each character here, and there is a fandub currently being made, if you read better that way. At the time of writing, there is only one volume out (The first one, with Ardata Carmia) but they plan to make one for everyone. You can find it here.
The game is rated mature 17+ for violence, blood and gore, and strong language. Each volume has a content warning lable listing potential triggering content, although most of the warnings are for content no more extreme than what you see in homestuck proper.
I cannot recommend the game enough, if you liked the trolls in homestuck, and find alternia lore exciting and interesting then this is exactly the game for you. The soundtrack and art is beautiful, the writing is excellent (the first volume is written by andrew hussie himself actually), and the characters are enticing and engaging (if you want a very brief look at what the characters are like, theres a troll call/friendsim site that has the characters sprites and bullet point bios for each character, you can find it here)
i just found literally my favorite youtube channel in the whole universe…it’s this sweet older lady narrating birds doing things with the utmost excitement and enthusiasm and it makes me want to cry. also she gives them all the best thumbnails
